Are people lying to themselfs speaking about iPhone?

Citing research from ChangeWave Research, Jonny Evans (Macworld) reports that “the iPhone now leads the pack in terms of customer satisfaction among its US customer base. An unprecedented 82 per cent of iPhone owners reported being Very Satisfied with their purchase, up five points since the previous survey in July and by far the highest rating of any mobile manufacturer.” Evans notes that “the research found 16 per cent of respondents who plan to purchase a phone in the next six months saying they’ll buy an iPhone - placing Apple up at the top among all manufacturers.”

It's nice research, but if we take a look from human psychology, we can say, that it is normal, if 82% of people, who bought iPhone say that they are satisfied with their purchase. Why? Just because when you buy the phone, which costs 400 $, you could not be unsatisfied! And it is not only money question, it is also public opinion! You have the iPhone, so you are modern and fashion guy. If approximately 50 % say, that they are disappointed of the iPhone, other part will think it over and say what they really think, not just say, that they are happy to have iPhone in their pocket!
So, my opinion is, that this is opinion, which is based on crowd. All think and I will.
And what about 16% who wants to purchase the iPhone in 6 months? It is simple, they are result of the "crowd" opinion.
I am not saying that the iPhone is bad device! No, it is marvelous, but the premium price put it higher in the imagination of the customers.

That's a fine theory if you're just looking for some way to spin all the positive iphone news into some sort of negative. It does not, however, account for the fact that people spending similar amounts of money on other smart phones do not rate those devices nearly as high as the ratings the iphone is receiving. So, no, it isn't just people wanting to delude themselves into thinking they got their money's worth. It really is that good. Nobody is saying that the iPhone is perfect, but i think the group realization you are talking about is that the iphone group has realized how poor all the other options are. That was certainly my experience.
